A timetable for this week and next week

A script---Workshop

This is a script which shows about a horror story.

INT. ROOM. DAY

          SARAH lies on the floor. The room is white, bright, bright,
          white. She is dressed entirely in white clothes. She is
          barefoot. Sarah opens her eyes slowly

          SARAH looks around

          There is no furniture in the room

          Seems she can`t remember what happened and why she is here
          because her eyes shows confuse.

                              SARAH
                    Where am I?
                         (pause)
                    God! Where`s my memories...

          No one answers.

          Sarah stands up, trying to control her breathing, she puts
          her hands on her chest. She tries to walk following the
          wall, her steps are light and no foot steps sounding. She
          looks around quickly every one to two seconds. There are
          loud and strong heart beats appears.

          Sarah puts all of her body`s weight on the wall and walks
          really slowly. Suddenly Sarah falls on the floor. Sarah`s
          face shows scared, through Sarah`s head there is a door on
          the wall. Sarah has already being in another room, her legs
          are still in the previous room. The door suddenly and
          quickly closed, at the same time, Sarah gets her legs back
          to the new room and shout. It looks like nothing on the
          wall.

          INT. ROOM. DAY

                              SARAH
                    Hello?

          (No one answers)
                    Hello? Please!!!

          There is nobody answers Sarah, she looks around. This room
          looks similar with the previous room.

          Sarah follows the wall carefully this time, she keeps a hand
          long with the wall and quickly walks around in the room.
          There are four doors in this room, each middle of the wall
          have a door.

          Sarah sits on the corner again, her eyes looks confused,
          after ten seconds, she puts her head on her knees, and then
          fall asleep.

          INT. ROOM. NIGHT

          SARAH opens her eyes, there is the sound of wind in the
          room, Sarah trembles and try to find something with her
          eyes, she just looks more confused. Sarah becomes crying and
          she puts her hands on her face, the sound of her crying
          becomes louder, her breathing becomes quicker and her body
          trembles heavier.

                              SARAH
                         (Shout)Who are you!!!!!!
                    Just leave me out!!!please!!!!

          Sarah starts to run, she cross the door quickly and running
          to another room, also four doors on each side of the wall in
          this room, then Sarah keep running, sometimes go to the door
          on the left side and sometimes just go back to previous
          room,聽 she goes across a lot of rooms, and keep crossing,
          but all of the rooms are same. Sarah runs slowly and slowly,
          but did not stops this time, she still go across every
          rooms.

          INT. ROOM, DAY
          With a fade in in 5 seconds, the room becomes bright again
          from the dark.

          Nobody in the room. After 5 seconds, the door on one of the
          walls opens slowly, Sarah`s face comes in. Sarah looks so
          tired on her face, she just go to opposite and open the door
          as usual, but this time she puts her hand on the wall and
          push it,聽 but no doors on the wall

          Sarah becomes happy, she smiles and cries.

                              SARAH
                    I will go out! I know I could go
                    out!!

          Sarah becomes to find other doors on the wall.

                              SARAH
                    This room must just have only two
                    doors, one is the entrance and
                    another one is exit.

          Sarah starts to look for the doors, but this time, she could
          not find any doors, includes the door when she comes in. She
          searched everywhere she could touched on the wall, but
          nothing, just white.

          The room becomes dark and we could not see anything, just
          hear a very loud shouting around.

          END

Broadway---Lighting

With three weeks learning, our lighting class in Broadway have finished finally.

We`d learned how to make light on actor`s face (the first class), how to use light in a closed room (Second class) and how to use light in a nature house (The last class).

The most useful class for me is the second class, and this class solved a huge problem of my work in last year. I am understood how could I use light in a room and this is really helpful for me.

This class just use a simple light to show a scene at night, not clearly on the picture, but really good on the TV.

small practice

This little shot shows the practice of directing class.

On the class, our tutor Deborah told us to organize and analyse the shot like a director, she gives us a script, and let us filming ourselves with the phone. This is our group`s shot, we mainly to show the motion on actor`s face, and the idea which to introduce the background. 

My planning of horror--Western and Eastern 1

Personally, I will make the sort of horror films into three part, which are story part, element part (sound, color, effect) and background (the film background and the culture background)

Compare：

Similarity： At the story part, Eastern and Western films have many similarities, such as evils, monsters and kinky killers, in these three part, the Western horror films put energy on kinky killers and Eastern horror film makers would like spirit evils more. 

Difference: 

1. The Eastern horror films, especially Japanese horror films would like to make some suicide films, this effect  due to its national conditions. Other countries in Eastern also have these kind of horror films, But there are less films of this style shows in Europe.

2. The Europe horror films often put their attention on science, such as the scientific research lead to some variation, or people discover some alien planets, those kind of horror films all could explained by science or undiscovered science, but shows less in Eastern horror films.


These two areas are all have some legend films, but with the difference of culture, there are some little different describing targets  between them.
